Public Perceptions and Responses to Environmental Pollution in Economic Zones and Industrial Parks in Ha Tinh Province

Abstract

In the context of modern society with significant life and academic pressures, enhancing sense of happiness and life satisfaction has become increasingly challenging and an important issue of concern. This study aims to clarify the relationship between family social capital and the students’ sense of happiness - a crucial young workforce for the development of society. This is a research topic with significant gaps for further exploration. The study employs a questionnaire method with 418 students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The research conceptualise family social capital though three dimensions: family relationship networks, trust in the family, and norms of interaction within the family, thereby analysing and measuring the relationship between these factors and students’ perceived happiness. The results show that all three dimensions are significantly correlated with the sense of happiness.
