Introduction to the Editorial Office of the Journal of Sociology and Psychology
The Journal of Sociology and Psychology is the official organ of the Institute of Sociology and Psychology; it serves as a scientific forum for the profession and for readers interested in sociology and psychology. The Journal is organized and operates in accordance with the Press License, the Press Law, other regulatory documents on journalism, and the regulations on the organization and operation of journals under the Academy.
The Journal is led by an Editor-in-Chief and one Deputy Editor-in-Chief, who are appointed and dismissed by the Director of the Institute of Sociology and Psychology. The Editor-in-Chief is legally responsible to the law and the Director of the Institute for all professional and editorial activities of the Journal.
The Editorial Office of the Journal of Sociology and Psychology is responsible for advising and assisting the Editor-in-Chief in journal operations and performing the following duties and powers:
- Advising and assisting the Editor-in-Chief in editing and publishing scientific works by researchers in the fields of Sociology and Psychology, ensuring alignment with the Journal's principles and goals. Ensuring compliance with journalistic technical procedures, press laws, and publishing regulations.
- Organizing the reception, processing, and preservation of manuscripts and images from authors; submitting manuscripts to the Editor-in-Chief for approval for each issue; signing printing contracts and conducting quality control to ensure technical and content standards; ensuring the quality and progress of the publication plan and periodic distribution.
- Building and developing a network of contributors; organizing experience exchanges and research on theoretical and practical journalistic issues to improve and enhance the Journal's quality.
- Assisting the Editor-in-Chief in drafting periodic and ad-hoc reports as required by the Institute's leadership and superior management agencies.
- Managing and efficiently utilizing assigned assets and work tools; coordinating with the accounting department in managing and settling the Journal's operating budget in accordance with the law and the Academy's regulations.
- Participating in the administration of the Institute of Sociology and Psychology's website.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Institute Director and the Editor-in-Chief.
