About the Journal of Sociology and Psychology

The Journal of Sociology and Psychology was established through the merger of the Vietnam Journal of Sociology (with over 40 years of development) and the Journal of Psychology (with nearly 30 years of history). The Journal is managed by the Institute of Sociology and Psychology. As a prestigious academic forum, the Journal focuses on publishing in-depth scientific research in sociology, psychology, and related fields such as educational sciences, educational management, and social work.

Aims and Scope

• 1. To publish and introduce domestic and international scientific research findings in the fields of sociology and psychology;
• 2. To disseminate the guidelines and policies of the State regarding social development management and the psychological well-being of the Vietnamese people in the context of innovation and global integration;
• 3. To apply sociological and psychological knowledge across various sectors of social life.

Operations and Publications

The Journal operates under License No. 115/GP-BVHTTDL issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism on August 29, 2025. Currently, the Journal releases three main publications:

• 1. Journal of Sociology and Psychology – Sociology Series: Vietnamese edition, published periodically in even-numbered months, ISSN 3093-3919.
• 2. Journal of Sociology and Psychology – Psychology Series: Vietnamese edition, published periodically in odd-numbered months, ISSN 3093-3943.
• 3. Vietnam Journal of Sociology and Psychology: English edition, published annually in October, ISSN 3093-3781.

Editorial Board and Peer Review

The Editorial Board of the Journal of Sociology and Psychology consists of 15 leading domestic and international experts. Furthermore, the editorial process is supported by a dedicated team of experienced contributing scientists working at universities and research institutes nationwide. All manuscripts submitted to the Journal undergo an independent scientific review via a double-blind peer review process to ensure scientific quality, objectivity, and academic excellence.
