Nghiên cứu động cơ sử dụng ứng dụng hẹn hò của thanh niên đầu trưởng thành tại Việt Nam, xác định bốn động cơ chính: “Hòa nhập/giao lưu xã hội”, “Tìm kiếm mối quan hệ”, “Giải trí” và “Tăng trải nghiệm tình dục”. Kết quả cho thấy động cơ “Hoà nhập/giao lưu xã hội” đạt mức độ đồng thuận cao nhất, phản ánh nhu cầu kết nối xã hội trong giai đoạn đầu trưởng thành. Động cơ “Tìm kiếm mối quan hệ” đứng thứ hai, cho thấy sự quan tâm đến các mối quan hệ lãng mạn, trong khi động cơ “Giải trí” có mức độ đồng ý thấp, chỉ ra việc sử dụng ứng dụng như nền tảng để vui chơi. Đặc biệt, động cơ “Tăng trải nghiệm tình dục” có điểm thấp nhất, phản ánh sự nhạy cảm của chủ đề tình dục trong văn hóa châu Á. Nghiên cứu cũng phát hiện sự khác biệt rõ rệt giữa nam và nữ về động cơ này và động cơ “Tìm kiếm mối quan hệ”, với nam giới có mức độ đồng tình cao hơn, điều này có thể lý giải qua lý thuyết tiến hóa và lý thuyết cấu trúc xã hội. Nghiên cứu đóng góp kiến thức về hành vi sử dụng ứng dụng hẹn hò trong bối cảnh văn hóa Việt Nam và hỗ trợ chiến lược tiếp thị. Tuy nhiên, nghiên cứu có hạn chế về cỡ mẫu và phương pháp chọn mẫu.
