Bài viết phân tích xu hướng nghiên cứu về sự tham gia của cộng đồng trong du lịch di sản từ góc nhìn xã hội học, dựa trên bộ dữ liệu 519 công trình từ Scopus. Bài viết sử dụng phương pháp tổng quan hệ thống, gồm tổng quan trắc lượng thư mục và tổng quan tường thuật, nghiên cứu nhận diện các khung lý thuyết, phương pháp nghiên cứu, chủ đề và phát hiện thực nghiệm chính của lĩnh vực. Kết quả cho thấy từ sau năm 2015, đặc biệt giai đoạn 2020-2024, số công bố tăng mạnh, phản ánh sự mở rộng của các tiếp cận xã hội đối với phát triển du lịch bền vững. Các lý thuyết trung tâm bao gồm “Social Exchange Theory”, “Empowerment” và “Sustainable Tourism Development”, bên cạnh các hướng mới như “Co-creation”, “Resilience” và “Digital Participation”. Từ các xu hướng quốc tế, bài viết đề xuất hướng tiếp cận xã hội học cho nghiên cứu tại Việt Nam, tập trung vào cơ chế xã hội của sự tham gia, vai trò cộng đồng và chuyển đổi số trong quản trị di sản bền vững.
