Abstract

Gender equality is an issue that cannot be overlooked in Vietnam, as it is both an objective in building socialism and a driving force for sustainable social development. Therefore, throughout the process of renovation and international integration, the Party and the State of Vietnam have consistently paid attention to, directed, and implemented the goal of gender equality. This is reflected in the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and legal framework, and the practical realisation of this goal. This article primarily employs secondary data and applies overview and analytical methods to synthesise the Party’s and the State’s orientations and policies on gender equality, identify key achievements and limitations in this area, and propose several solutions to effectively promote gender equality in Vietnam in the current context.
