Bài viết đề xuất một cách đọc Tư bản của Karl Marx như một công trình phân tích cấu trúc xã hội của chủ nghĩa tư bản. Thông qua tái dựng chuỗi lập luận từ hàng hóa đến giá trị thặng dư, nghiên cứu làm rõ cách Marx sử dụng phép loại trừ, trừu tượng hóa và tổ chức các vấn đề lý luận để xây dựng tính nhất quán của lý thuyết. Kết quả cho thấy các phạm trù như giá trị, lao động trừu tượng hay giá trị thặng dư không chỉ là khái niệm kinh tế, mà là những hình thái xã hội tổ chức các quan hệ phụ thuộc và tái sản xuất xã hội. Trên cơ sở tổng quan hệ thống văn liệu và đối chiếu với các cách đọc kinh điển, bài viết xác định khoảng trống khi cấu trúc lập luận chưa được xem như một cơ chế kiến tạo đối tượng xã hội. Từ đó, nghiên cứu đề xuất đọc Tư bản như một thực hành tri thức xã hội học, góp phần mở rộng đối thoại giữa kinh tế chính trị Marxist và xã hội học đương đại.
