Bài viết này đánh giá thực trạng nỗi sợ bỏ lỡ và mối quan hệ của nó với tần suất trở thành nạn nhân bắt nạt trực tuyến trong mẫu sinh viên thuộc hai trường đại học tại Việt Nam (Đại học Đà Nẵng và trường Đại học Tây Nguyên). Mẫu nghiên cứu bao gồm 1.534 sinh viên, chủ yếu là nữ (chiếm 64,3%). Sinh viên tham gia nghiên cứu được yêu cầu hoàn thành ba thang đo nhằm đo lường mức độ nỗi sợ bỏ lỡ, tần suất trở thành nạn nhân bắt nạt trực tuyến và hành vi bộc lộ bản thân trực tuyến. Kết quả nghiên cứu chỉ ra rằng mức độ nỗi sợ bỏ lỡ của sinh viên tham gia khảo sát là trung bình, không có sự khác biệt về mức độ nỗi sợ bỏ lỡ giữa nhóm sinh viên nam và sinh viên nữ. Đồng thời, kết quả nghiên cứu cũng cho thấy hành vi bộc lộ bản thân trực tuyến đóng vai trò trung gian trong mối quan hệ giữa nỗi sợ bỏ lỡ và tần suất trở thành nạn nhân bắt nạt trực tuyến ở sinh viên. Những phát hiện của nghiên cứu này cũng cho thấy sự cần thiết phải giảm mức độ nỗi sợ bỏ lỡ và giảm hành vi bộc lộ bản thân trực tuyến nhằm phòng ngừa và hạn chế nguy cơ trở thành nạn nhân bắt nạt trực tuyến trong sinh viên.
